Our specially trained nursing staff helps welcome more than 3,000 new babies into the world every year. We believe that by continually assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating care based on evidence-based practice, sound clinical judgment and critical thinking skills, our caregivers provide safe, quality, expert and compassionate care. As a Nurse Technician on this unit, you will offer basic direct patient care activities under the supervision of an RN. A compassionate, supportive attitude can make all the difference for those receiving treatment. **This is a regular PRN position, with caregivers working varying shifts between 7:00 p.m. - 7:30 a.m. or 11:00 p.m. - 11:00 a.m. with weekend availability.** A caregiver who excels in this role will: + Provide or assist with patient care under the supervision of an RN, such as checking vital signs and weight, assisting patients with personal care, performing patient transfers/transport, cleaning dressing changes, applying external monitoring devices and removing urinary Foley catheter. + Report abnormal findings or changes in physical, mental and emotional conditions to an RN. + Assist with keeping patients' rooms clean and orderly. Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: + Nursing student in good standing in an accredited nursing school program OR an unlicensed graduate of an accredited nursing school program OR an LPN awaiting NCLEX results from a second state board exam + Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) Our caregivers continue to create the best outcomes for our patients across each of our facilities.
