The individual will perform delegated functions of direct and indirect patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse and in accordance with organizational policies and procedures. The Nurse Technician will utilize skills achieved through their educational programs and/or orientation within the scope of the position. **JOB QUALIFICATIONS** **EDUCATION** _For positions requiring education beyond a high school diploma or equivalent, educational qualifications must be from an institution whose accreditation is recognized by the Council for Higher Education and Accreditation._ **Minimum Required:** Individuals must meet one of the following: + Nursing student actively enrolled in a board approved school of professional nursing and have completed two semesters of an Associate Degree program four semesters of a Bachelor degree program. + A recent graduate from a board approved school of professional nursing and does not hold a temporary permit. + A recent graduate who has been unsuccessful on the nursing licensure exam and is retaking the exam. The Nurse Technician position will only be available up to 6 months from date of graduation. **Preferred/Optional:** None **EXPERIENCE** **Minimum Required:** None **Preferred/Optional:** Experience with direct patient care in an acute care setting. **CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES** _The following licensure(s), certification(s), registration(s), etc., are required for this position.
