\nYou supervise nursing staff development. Create, implement, and evaluate education programs. Collaborate with educators and staff. Improve patient care, staff performance, and organization outcomes.
\nEssential Functions of the Role
\n\nYou'll oversee Generalists and Specialists, guiding them in creating educational programs aligned with Texas nursing standards.\nYou'll work with the team to plan, implement, and assess policies.\nManage budget and resources, engage in quality improvement, programs, and governance councils to reach goals.\nBy focusing on evidence-based nursing, professional development, research, and scholarly activities, you can help create a productive work environment.\nMaintain skills to support development. Ensure activities meet regulations.\n\nKey Success Factors
\n\nKnowledge in the areas of professional registered nurse and the professional development educator/specialist, aligning with the standards of ANCC.\nKnowledge of nursing care standards from certifying bodies, hospital, and department. Familiar with laws and regulations.\nExperience in management roles with exposure to behavioral based interviewing, team dynamics, and excellent social communication skills.\nUnderstanding quality measures related to assigned scope and tactics to improve outcomes through evidence-based adult learning concepts and proficiency checks.\nSkill in using different assessments, like tests and feedback, to establish program success and make changes at different levels.\nCapacity to teach, guide, and encourage others in conceptualizing and designing programs.\nSkill in managing work allocation and supervision for a group of staff members following set procedures and guidelines.\nCapability to elect effectively on recruitment and termination matters.\nSkills in training and conducting performance assessments of supervised staff.\nBasic computer literacy, including skills in Microsoft Office, information security, scheduling and payroll systems, electronic medical documentation, and email.\n\nBelonging Statement

Qualifications
\n\nMaster's degree, specifically in the field of Nursing.\nA minimum of (3) three years of relevant work experience.\nBasic Life Support (BLS) certification needed or obtain within (30) thirty days of hire if not already obtained.\n\n*Obtain a NPD certification within 6 months of hire.
