HOW A MEDICAL AFFAIRS ANALYST SENIOR WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
● Participate in vaccine post-licensure pharmacovigilance surveillance data collection activities
● Identifies vaccine safety markers and trends
● Collaborates as part of the clinical team and stakeholders to provide quantifiable data from case investigations
● Performs reviews of medical records and supporting case documentation.
●Works as part of a multiskilled group to research possible adverse events to vaccination
● Composes medical abstracts
● Adds MedDRA coding terminology to identify symptoms and adverse event reactions per case reviews.
● Uses clinical knowledge to identify cases that will need further follow up
● Performs quality assurance reviews
● Serves as a subject matter expert on vaccine safety
● Mentors staff and provides training
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
● Education: Registered Nurse
● Required Experience: 5+ years of nursing
● Required Skills and Abilities: Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Adheres to deadlines. Abstracting or medical writing knowledge. Attention to detail. Excellent communication skills.
● Required Technical Skills: Clinical or Public Health experience, case management
● Experience working on the CDC VAERS program
● Security Clearance Level: Public Trust
● Location: Remote

The likely hourly rate for this position is between $34.86 - $41.40. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
