Job Summary
The OpportunityPentucket Medical is launching a walk-in, no appointment necessary orthopedic injury clinic at our Riverwalk location (370 Merrimack Street in Lawrence, MA 01843). The goal? To provide urgent, same-day visits for patients, provide appropriate evaluation and treatment, and establish needed follow up or surgical care during the visit. We also offer radiology services on-site.
We are seeking a Per Diem Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our brand new Orthopedic Walk-In Clinic located at 370 Merrimack Street in Lawrence, MA 01843. Our Per Diem APPs are required to work one full weekend per month as well as one week day shift (8 hour or 12 hour shift). We are open Monday – Friday 7:30am – 7:30pm / Saturdays from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm/ and on Sundays from 8:30 am to 3:00 pm.
The Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant will be responsible for:
· Evaluating patients by performing appropriate history and physical exams
· Ordering diagnostic procedures such as laboratory, radiological and special studies when indicated
· Performing therapeutic procedures such as, but not limited to, suturing of wounds, foreign body removal, I&D of abscesses, reduction of fractures and dislocations, splinting, casting, and injections
· Ordering medication, both in the clinic or by prescription

Master’s Degree in Nursing or Physician Assistant Studies requiredExperience:
