The Mass General Brigham Medical Group is a system-led operating entity formed by Mass General Brigham to deliver high quality, low cost, innovative community-based ambulatory care. Cardiology is looking for an APP (NP or PA) for a per diem Day Shift Position. The practice hours are Monday through Friday from 7:30am to 4:00pm, so the schedule is staggered accordingly during this time frame based on department needs. This position will primarily be located in our Dover location, however travel to our Portsmouth and Somersworth practices may be needed on occasion.

Join Our Growing Cardiology Team at Wentworth-Douglass Hospital!

Wentworth-Douglass Hospital is seeking a per diem Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join our dynamic and expanding Cardiology team, which currently includes over 10 highly skilled and collaborative APPs. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a comprehensive and patient-centered cardiovascular program that continues to grow in both size and scope.

The Wentworth-Douglass Center for Heart Health is proud to be a member of the Mass General Brigham Heart and Vascular Institute, providing access to world-class cardiovascular care, advanced diagnostics, and specialty expertise. As part of this integrated system, we offer our patients the benefits of local care backed by the resources and innovation of a leading academic health network.

The primary responsibility of this position is the supervision of cardiac stress testing, including exercise treadmill tests, nuclear stress tests, chemical/pharmacologic stress testing, and Cardiac PET/CT studies. The APP works closely with cardiac technologists and board-certified cardiologists to ensure high-quality, safe, and effective diagnostic testing in both outpatient and inpatient settings.
Additional opportunities for the per diem APP may include conducting independent cardiology follow-up visits in the outpatient clinic and providing clinical support to the inpatient cardiology service, contributing to the care of hospitalized patients with acute and chronic cardiac conditions.

Experience
experience as a nurse practitioner 0-1 year preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Skilled in taking medical histories to assess medical condition and interpret findings.
- Ability to maintain quality control standards.
- Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations.
- Ability to interpret, adapt and apply guidelines and procedures.
- Ability to communicate clearly and establish/maintain effective working relationships with patients, medical staff and the public.
