This employment opportunity is being recruited by Rady Children’s Hospital-San Diego on behalf of Children's Specialists of San Diego.

JOB SUMMARY:

The Nurse Practitioner provides comprehensive physical assessment, treatment, psychosocial support, referral, and health education to children and families in clinical, school, and in-home settings.  The Nurse Practitioner functions as a primary care provider, clinical leader, educator, researcher, care coordinator and consultant and works with the supervision of a physician.  Performs within the scope of licensures and in accordance with hospital policies.   Some positions will be responsible for being on call according to a predetermined schedule or as needed.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Master’s DegreeCurrent California Nurse Practitioner LicenseCurrent BLS for Healthcare Providers, issued by AHAFurnishing number, State of California (must obtain within 1 year of employment)DEA license for position that require the writing of scheduled medications (must obtain within 1 year of employment)Medicare Billing Number (NPI-National Provider Identifier) - (must obtain within 6 months of employment)Certification: Nurse Practitioner, National (must obtain within 1 year of employment)Successfully complete the credentialing process through Medical Staff ServiceSuccessfully complete the requirements of the delegations of Services for the assigned division

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

2 years of experience in clinical nursing with emphasis in specialty areaExperience in specialty area as a Nurse PractitionerFormal in-service education and/or lecturing skillsBilingual

The expected hiring range for this position is $67.58 to $92.93
