Selected candidates hired into this role will have the opportunity to partner with surgical-critical care-trained intensivists and other multidisciplinary team members. An NP/PA in this area will perform admission history and physicals, daily assessments and notes, ordering and interpreting of tests and diagnostic/therapeutic procedures, management of medication regimens, and select bedside procedures based on need and the experience of the provider. Candidates should have a strong desire to care for critically ill patients and ICU experience/exposure, although extensive training and mentoring will be included as part of orientation to this role. Our work is challenging and rewarding in this fast paced, highly collaborative, professional practice environment. **Qualifications** Masters prepared graduate of an accredited school of nursing and Nurse Practitioner program. Current Minnesota RN license and certification or eligible to be certified as an ANP, FNP, ACNP, AGACNP; Or Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program with current PA certification by NCCPA and registration as a PA by the Minnesota State Board of Medical Practice. Registration with the U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) is required. BLS and ACLS certification required.
