Responsibilities
Mayo Clinic Health System Pain Medicine offers an exciting opportunity for a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to work independently and collaboratively with an outstanding team to provide comprehensive outpatient care for adult patients with painful conditions. The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) delivers specialized care through comprehensive assessments, ordering/reviewing diagnostic tests, and developing and coordinating treatment plans. Care plans may include interventional procedures, physical therapy, pharmacologic management, behavioral therapy, and patient education. The APP primarily focuses on office visits-both in person and virtual-, refer patients for procedural and surgical intervention, and will acquire additional skills by performing minor, office-based injections.
Onsite in Mankato, MN, the APP will partner with two physicians, who primarily deliver procedural interventions. Collaborative care delivery with several other Pain Medicine and related-specialty physicians and APPs across the Midwest provides a wide array of expertise and support. This position also offers educational and professional growth opportunities.
Primary Practice Location: Mankato, Minnesota. There is an expectation to be capable of working in a minimum of one other site in the future.
