Responsibilities

Provide Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant (NP/PA) support to a dynamic Neurosurgical practice located in Mankato. Practice areas include time in the Operating Room, Hospital and Clinic settings.  The ideal candidate must be comfortable working in all of these areas. Currently the group consists of 3 surgeons and 2 Advance Practice Providers. Subspecialties/service lines: spine, brain tumor, skull base, neurovascular, and peripheral nerve. A physician and an NP/PA are always on call to cover inpatient needs, emergency room consults, and operating room needs.



Qualifications

Nurse Practitioner: Masters-prepared graduate of an accredited school of nursing and Nurse Practitioner program. Current Minnesota RN and APRN license and certification as an FNP or ANP.

Physician Assistant: Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program with current PA certification by NCCPA and registration as a PA by the Minnesota State Board of Medical Practice.

BLS required. Must be eligible for DEA registration and billing privileges

Schedule Details

Monday - Friday; split between OR and Clinic days. Variable each week with the addition of hospital call responsibilities as scheduled.

Weekend Schedule

Collaborates with on-call surgeon to accommodate hospital rounds, ER consults, and add-on cases.
