Nurse Practitioner- Neonatal Days 36 Hours Rotating Shifts

Position is a 36 Hours a week with full time benefits.Provides inpatient and/or outpatient medical care with the supervision but not necessarily the presence of a qualified physician member of the medical staff.Takes patient history, performs physical examination, orders and interprets tests, makes diagnoses and institutes appropriate treatment programs.Performs nursing functions independently.Works in collaboration with staff physicians, house officers, nurses and other members of the medical care team to ensure that patient outcomes are achieved in a safe and efficient manner.Specific procedures are individually credentialed as indicated by training and experience.Required to have NCC certification or will be obtaining it within the next few monthsWill accept NNP interns, required to have completed an accredited program and eligible for boards. or NNPs who have passed the NCC board certification for a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Requires Masters Degree in Nursing; licensure as a Certified Nurse Practitioner; licensure as a Registered Nurse; BCLS certification; and certification in one of the following: ANA certification exam in a nursing specialty field, National Certification Corporation (NCC), National Certification Board of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners and Associates, and/or Certification from Michigan State Board of Nursing as a Nurse Practitioner (NP).
