Our 254-bed full-service facility offers emergency care, a primary stroke center, orthopedics and the only licensed obstetric and pediatric units in Charlotte County. **The role you'll contribute** **:** Responsible for managing the daily operations, staffing, and patient flow of assigned nursing units to ensure efficient and effective patient care delivery. This position collaborates with patients, families, physicians, administration, and associates to provide high-quality care. Additionally, this role oversees the implementation of policies and procedures, compliance with healthcare standards, and resource management to maintain optimal patient outcomes. This position develops and monitors the clinical integrity of assigned programs, supports staff development, and fosters a collaborative work environment. Responsibilities for this role include strategic planning, operational management, financial oversight, and maintaining respectful relationships with all contacts. **The value you'll bring to the team** **:** Recruit, interview, and hire qualified nursing personnel to ensure adequate staffing levels. - Provide ongoing education and training opportunities to enhance staff skills and knowledge, including orientation programs for new staff. Conduct regular performance evaluations to assess staff competencies, provide constructive feedback, and identify areas for improvement. Address and resolve conflicts among staff members promptly and effectively, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment. Develop and manage the nursing unit's budget, monitor expenses, and identify cost-saving opportunities to ensure efficient use of resources. Lead quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes, using data and evidence-based practices to drive improvements. Continuously monitor and evaluate patient care outcomes, adjusting care plans and interventions as necessary to achieve optimal results.
