Nurse Intern II - PICU
Job Summary

Nursing student in Nurse Intern II position must meet Level 2 requirements and will have a cooperative education experience in the hospital that emphasize the delivery of nursing care to adolescents and children with acute and chronic illness. Students will function in the role as unlicensed assistive personnel. At no time is the student permitted to give medications or perform invasive procedures. The student will perform under the direction of a RN and will report to the unit Nursing Director. Students will have the unique opportunity to provide care to a diverse patient population. The hospital emphasizes family centered care through a multidisciplinary team approach and patient/family education. The nursing student in this position will learn from RNs and healthcare providers by observing other patient care activities and participating in additional learning opportunities throughout the hospital.
