Job Summary and Responsibilities

Position Summary

The Emergency Department Float Pool Registered Nurse provides care to adult and pediatric patients in the Emergency Department and Psych Hold areas.

This position is represented by CNA and is covered by the terms and conditions of the applicable collective bargaining agreement.

Job Requirements

Minimum:

Two (2) years’ experience as an RN in the Emergency Department.

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.

RN = Registered Nurse license from the State of NV Nursing Board.

CT CPRBLS  - Basic Life Support – AHA  

CT CPRACLS -  Advanced Life Support – AHA

CT CPRPALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support – AHA (Required within 6 months of hire).  

TNCC - Trauma Nurse Core Course (Required within 6 months of hire).

NIHSS = NIH Stroke-AM Stroke ASC-Nat'l - Training upon hire/transfer.

Please be advised that this location requires quarterly American Heart Association (AHA) Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI) competency certification post-hire. This ongoing competency is required through resources internal to the facility; outside RQI competency resources are not acceptable for CommonSpirit Health compliance requirements.

Preferred:

Float Pool experience.

Bachelor of Science in Nursing.

Certification in Specialty Area.
