**Department:** Marwood Nursing and Rehab **Job Type:** Full-time **Daily Work Times:** 6:00AM-2:30PM **Shift:** Days **Scheduled Bi-Weekly Hours:** 80 **Job Overview:** We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Nursing Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to our residents in rehabilitation and long-term care environments. This role requires a strong commitment to resident care, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented atmosphere. **Responsibilities:** + Assist residents with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating. + Monitor and record vital signs, including temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure. + Provide support in mobility and transportation of residents using equipment such as Hoyer lifts. + Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents by adhering to infection control protocols. + Document resident care activities accurately in electronic health record (EHR) systems while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. + Collaborate with nursing staff to implement resident care plans and report any changes in resident conditions. + Support residents with special needs, Alzheimer’s disease, or dementia care requirements. + Engage in effective communication with residents and their families to provide emotional support and education regarding care plans. **Experience:** Candidates should possess experience or knowledge in the following areas: + Experience in long-term care settings such as nursing homes or assisted living facilities is highly desirable. + Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and medical documentation processes is essential. + Experience working with diverse populations including geriatrics, or individuals requiring hospice care is beneficial. + Previous caregiving experience in home care or community settings will be considered an asset.
