\nARServices is seeking a Nuclear Weapons Stockpile Historian to work in the Albuquerque, NM area.
\n
\nThe Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) Nuclear Enterprise Directorate, Nuclear Logistics & Operations Department (NE-NL), subsequently referred to as DTRA NE-NL, ensures the safety and reliability of the nation’s nuclear stockpile, supporting DoD functions in nuclear weapons accountability and oversight. The Nuclear Weapons Stockpile Historian will provide administrative and technical support for the NE-NL Nuclear Operations Division, Stockpile Operations Branch (NE-NLOS) by performing research, analyzing, recording, and interpreting the past as recorded in various sources such as government and institutional records, newspapers and other periodicals, photographs, interviews, films, electronic media, and unpublished manuscripts.

\nA qualified candidate’s duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:\n\n\tProviding Nuclear Weapons Accountability Historical expertise.\n\tMaintaining and updating nuclear weapons history databases assigned to DoD.\n\tResearching sources for data and transcribing into databases.\n\tDigitizing documents.\n\tEvaluating, validating, and verifying data.\n\tResearching complicated historical discrepancies.\n\tGenerating nuclear history reports.\n\tDeveloping training and related curriculum. \n\tResponding to and updating changes to nuclear weapons classification policy. \n\tEffectively communicating to senior leadership through briefings, presentations, written/verbal correspondence, and other means as necessary, that can be understood at multiple levels. \n\tPreparing documentation for Freedom of Information Act (FOIA), Congressional, etc. responses.\n\n
\nSecurity Clearance Requirement:
\nActive/current Top Secret clearance is required.

\nRequired Qualifications:\n\n\n\tBachelors’ degree required.\n\tA minimum of six (6) years of demonstrated experience performing the duties above or similar requirements.\n\n
