Dowhas an exciting opportunity for aNuclear Quality Assurance/Quality Control Directorsupporting Project Long Mott (Small Modular Nuclear Reactor).
About you and this role
As theNuclear QA/QC DirectorforDow,you will be expected to develop, implement, assess, and validate the quality of materials, procedures, and outputs within nuclear facilities to uphold safety, reliability, and compliance. You will be responsible for rigorous quality standards and regulatory requirements across all facets of nuclear projects, including design, procurement, construction and operations.
Responsibilities
+ Develop the processes and procedures to effectively implement nuclear quality assurance requirements.
+ Create and enforce quality control protocols, policies and benchmarks to ensure alignment with regulations and industry standards.
+ Inspect, audit, and evaluate nuclear materials, components and systems across project lifecycles to eliminate defects, drive improvements and ensure compliance with 10 CFR 50 Appendix B.
+ Oversee tests, measurements and analysis on materials, machinery and structures, to validate and safety requirements.
+ Collaborate with project leaders, engineers, suppliers and regulatory bodies to address quality concerns and implement corrective actions.
+ Lead and/or participate in quality audits, certifications and assessments to validate adherence to established quality management systems and regulatory frameworks.
Qualifications
+ A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in a STEM field OR relevant military experience at or above a U.S. E6 ranking OR Canadian Petty Officer 2nd Class ranking.
+ A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience (i.e. nuclear power plant operation experience)
+ Must be willing and able to travel up to 20%-30% annually and meet all applicable requirements related to business travel (e.g., as to immigration and visa rules, public-health mandates, airline rules, etc.) into and out of (and physical presence in) various countries worldwide

+ A minimum requirement for this U.S. based position is the ability to work legally in the United States. No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of U.S. permanent residency (green card) process.
Preferred Qualifications
+ Previous leadership experience preferred.
+ Previous experience developing organizations from the ground up and leading teams to success
+ 15 or more years of relevant experience (i.e. nuclear quality systems experience)
+ Experience working in a nuclear regulated environment.

+ Quality Systems – Deep knowledge of QA/QC protocols, audits, and nuclear regulations.
+ Analytical & Problem-Solving – Ability to identify quality issues, analyze data, and implement effective solutions.
+ Attention to Detail – Precision in inspections, testing, and evaluations to detect deviations and ensure compliance.
+ Technical Communication – Clear communication of technical findings and collaboration with engineers, suppliers, regulators and senior management.
+ Nuclear Engineering Knowledge – Understanding of nuclear materials, processes, and safety standards across project phases.
+ Project & Audit Management – Experience leading quality assurance projects, audits, and certifications.
+ Continuous Improvement Mindset – Ability to drive improvements and implement corrective actions across nuclear operations.
+ Strategic Communication Management–Strategic communication management is the control of communication in and out of an organization to promote the clear exchange of information and ideas.
