**Job Summary and Responsibilities** As our Nuclear Med Tech, you will be a specialized healthcare professional, vital in providing diagnostic and therapeutic services through the precise application of radionuclides. Every day, you will expertly perform Nuclear Medicine procedures, utilizing radionuclides to produce high-quality images and data for licensed practitioners. You'll ensure appropriate patient care, recognize conditions essential for successful procedures, administer radiopharmaceuticals, operate equipment, and adhere to strict radiation safety. 1. Surveys the amount of radiation given off by all radioactive dosage prescribed for the patient. 2. Assists with administering isotope therapy. 3. Performs nuclear medicine studies on patients according to the specific departmental procedure protocols under the direction of the Medical Doctor. 4. Prepares equipment ensuring that equipment is operational, safe, and functioning according to diagnostic standards. Peforms periodic QA and ensure requisite documentation. 5. Ensures that daily equipment and room maintenance are performed before/during/after each procedure, and that special precautions and measures are performed to ensure infection control standards. 6.
