**Job Description**
**AECOM** is seeking a **Nuclear Engineering Technical Lead** to head our growing US Nuclear engineering team. AECOM's broad technical capabilities, global footprint and experience in executing large scale projects uniquely position us to lead in traditional and advanced nuclear technologies. This includes being a part of the first-of-a-kind program with AECOM partners advancing the innovative stellarator technology to the world.

For this role, AECOM offers the freedom and flexibility to work remotely and/or be located at a variety of Energy offices located in multiple locations across the United States.
This position will provide project technical leadership and team development on a variety of energy projects and programs across various markets and client types. The ideal candidate is a dynamic, self-directed and decisive individual with a strong technical competence and competence to develop and deliver innovative energy projects.
**The responsibilities of this role also include, but may not be limited to, the following:**
+ Team supervision and leadership
+ Support Department Manager in advancing the culture of technical excellence and accountability
+ Supervise, mentor and lead a team of engineers through their individual and team technical development for greater utility to the organization and overall career satisfaction
+ Lead improvements in project efficiencies by creating, updating, and implementing group specific standards/templates as well as software application advances
+ Provide input to management on project resourcing and staff forecasting needs
+ Develop technical approach, task and deliverable build up with associated hours estimate and schedule to support business development activities
+ Actively support recruiting efforts
+ Support projects through complete life cycle including the feasibility phase, preliminary and detailed design, issue-for-bid, construction, start-up, and commissioning
+ Project participation:
+ Provide input to management on project resourcing and staff forecasting needs
+ Direct multi-discipline technical teams across the full spectrum of projects and client solutions
+ Perform engineering calculations to support and direct construction deliverables (specifications, reports, drawings)
+ Provide input to management on project resourcing and staff forecasting needs
+ Provide quality control reviews of work developed by others
+ Monitor your teams project progress to ensure quality, on-time and on-budget delivery of projects
+ Ensure that the technical and safety standards are maintained in all aspects of the design work
+ Participate in and present engineering and design work at client meetings including those requiring occasional travel
**Level specific responsibilities:**
+ Coordinates and provides technical expertise for mid- large-size projects.
+ Leads technical client relationships and plays a major role in selling.
+ Leads technical department efforts to grow technical expertise.
+ Leads technical business development work.
+ Provides specialized technical input to studies and design for staff's specific area of expertise.
+ Approves and signs off on work.
+ Leader in one or more areas of technology.
+ Provides estimates for the engineering budget and schedule a to meet requirements on large, complex projects
**DCS—Energy**

**Qualifications**
**Minimum Requirements:**
+ BS/BA in Engineering from ABET accredited college or university + 8 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of experience/education
+ PE License
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ 5+ years experience in team supervision
+ Provide input to management on project resourcing and staff forecasting needs
+ Engineering design experience within thermal or fossil power generation facilities
+ 7+ years as discipline technical lead on power generation engineering design projects
+ Physical design experience for industrial facilities
+ Demonstrated experience in participating complex, multi-discipline programs/projects and teams
+ Passion in developing talented technical teams
+ Experience on full EPC, Design/Build projects from start to finish.
+ Experience workshare with high value engineering centers
+ Field construction and commissioning experience
+ Successful experience working in remote and multi-discipline teams
+ Expert familiarity with industry codes and standards
+ Power generation systems modeling experience
+ Experience working in collaborative 3D model environments (e.g. Navisworks) and laser scan data
+ Active participation in industry or code committees

Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $150,000.00 - $180,000.00.
