About the Role
Actalent Engineering Services is seeking a Thermal Hydraulic Analysis Engineer to support advanced nuclear energy initiatives. This fully remote position offers the opportunity to contribute to high-impact reactor safety and performance analysis projects in collaboration with leading engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities
+ Perform infrastructure analyses using RETRAN in both originator and design verifier capacities
+ Conduct Chapter 15 accident analyses to support planned reactor cycle length extensions
+ Develop and validate base models for thermal-hydraulic performance
+ Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering teams to ensure model accuracy and compliance
+ Prepare and present technical documentation and findings to internal and external stakeholders
Required Qualifications
+ Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Mechanical, Nuclear, or a related Engineering discipline
+ 3–10+ years of experience in thermal-hydraulic modeling and simulation
+ Proficiency in RETRAN-02 or RETRAN-3D
+ Experience with CFD tools such as STAR-CCM+
+ Familiarity with NQA-1 and SQA standards
Preferred Qualifications
+ Experience with VIPRE-01
+ Prior work in regulated environments supporting nuclear safety analysis
+ Strong technical writing and communication skills
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $70.00 - $80.00/hr.
