Nuclear Design Engineer

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

Work closely with the initial marketing engineer to outline new product requirements.
Develop innovative concepts employing the latest engineering and manufacturing technologies.
Perform and document engineering development calculations and analysis using computer-aided tools.
Generate product technical specifications, technical assessment plans, and test plans.
Develop detailed design documentation, specifications, and procedures; review and approve design drawings.
Engage in close collaboration with the CAD team to craft detailed 2D/3D drawings.
Collaborate with manufacturing to implement new product into production.
Collaborate with suppliers to produce engineering prototypes.
Follow through with verification and implementation of invention concepts into production.
Collaborate with product engineers worldwide to assist in product launch and lifecycle development.
Investigate and apply relevant industry standards to new product development.
Support the long-term vision and management of the nuclear business unit’s product portfolio.
Assist with other project activities as assigned.

Who You Are: 

You are a motivated self-starter with a solid understanding of engineering fundamentals and general applications. You possess creative ability with proven analytical skills. You are an individual with effective communication and good interpersonal skills, prospering in a collaborative environment.

For This Role, You Will Need:

Bachelor or master degree in engineering, with preference on mechanical engineering, chemical engineering, or material engineering.
Proven expertise in mechanical composing is essential. A strong grasp of ASME SEC III, RCCM, or other nuclear-related codes/standards is advantageous.
Experience in the process control or related development field, or experience in a nuclear power plant, is preferred.
Familiarity with MS Office software, computer-aided construction, and simulation programs.
Proficiency in spoken and written English.
