Job Title: Nuclear Cyber Security Engineer - (REMOTE)

Job Description

This position is pivotal in leading the development and execution of cyber security engineering strategies for a nuclear facility. The role integrates cyber security philosophy into nuclear plant information and operational technology systems, overseeing the implementation and assessment of these systems. It involves leading strategic security relationships and applying industry expertise to architect, develop, and maintain cybersecurity tools and policies.

ResponsibilitiesLead the execution of core tasks and responsibilities without close supervision.Establish strategic security relationships between internal and external entities.Architect, develop, implement, maintain, and oversee cybersecurity tools and policies.Provide advanced support to troubleshoot complex issues and architect new solutions.Lead advanced threat hunt operations to detect adversaries.Develop threat intelligence to counter advanced persistent threats.Produce reports on activities and incidents to maintain situational awareness.Identify and remediate control weaknesses.Review data with relevant groups to assess security event risks.Perform complex information security analysis.Develop plans to safeguard computer/server/network configurations against unauthorized modifications.Lead technical risk assessments for new and existing applications.Implement systems and procedures to prevent data security breaches.Essential SkillsNuclear digital design experience.Experience with Industrial Control Systems (ICS) and Operational Technology (OT).Automation expertise.Knowledge of NEI 08-09, RG 5.71, NIST 800-82, 10 CFR 7354.15+ years of progressive experience in cybersecurity or related fields.Bachelor's degree in a related field, credited as five years of experience.Advanced certifications such as CISSP or CISM.Expert knowledge of cybersecurity tools like NDR, EDR, and SIEM.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with Splunk, Azure, and AWS.Experience with nuclear cyber security regulations.Qualifications such as CISA, GCIH, GPEN, or equivalent.Experience with Identity and Access Management technologies.Knowledge of cloud technologies like AWS, Azure, Docker, Kubernetes, and DevSecOps.Networking, Firewall, and software-defined networking expertise.Integration of cybersecurity tools for Enterprise-level programs.Leveraging AI, ML, and Orchestration for environmental security.Work Environment

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $76.00 - $80.00/hr.
