NSX-T Network Engineer
Job Description Insight Global is looking for a network engineer to support NSX environments, gathering requirements from LOB/projects for various networking or DFW firewall changes creating the MOPs for the Operations team to implement. Plan and design upgrades to the environment and expansion of the environment to keep up with the growing demands. Skills and Requirements • A minimum of 8+ years of experience in network/infrastructure engineering.  • A minimum of 3+ years working with storage and virtualization technologies preferably with VMWare NSX-T and vSphere.  • Strong knowledge of core networking topics such as TCP/IP routing & switching, SSL/TLS, and layer-4/layer-7 load balancing tools & techniques for web applications and services  • Experience working with network overlay technologies like VXLAN, EVPN/BGP  • Strong understanding of Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking tools and technologies (e.g., Ethernet, IP, ARP, ping, traceroute)  • Understanding of standards-based routing protocols (OSPF and BGP)  • Understanding of core load balancing principles as well as Transport and Application Layer principles (persistence, monitoring [TCP, HTTP, HTTPS], cookies, etc.)  • Understanding of network-based security (e.g., access lists) and security concepts (black list vs. white list)  • Knowledge of challenges and solutions around network security topics such as firewalls, micro segmentation, and ‘zero trust’ approaches to network security  • Knowledge of PowerShell (or Ansible) for automation of network tasks (streamlining processes and flows).
