To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a NPI Project Specialist located in Columbia, SC.
Reporting to the Sr. NPI Manager the NPI Project Specialist role will be in charge of managing projects of low-medium complexity in order to meet the performance indicators (cost, delivery, quality, etc) of a specific organization.
What a typical day looks like:
• Help establish project schedule, financial parameters, and technical requirements, managing project from initiation through transfer.
• Review and communicate customer requirements, specifications, and project schedule and budget constraints to cross-functional teams.
• Review daily production schedule and identify problem areas.
• Assess causes of problems and provide technical support and direction to project team to resolve issues.
• Develop status reports, including project financials, insuring project team is meeting customer requirements and measuring cost control.
• Create and maintain project plan documents, procedures and project deliverables.
• Conduct presentations concerning specific projects/schedules, etc.
• Assist in the management of larger projects/programs.
• Interact frequently with customers and/or functional peer group managers. May interact with senior management; frequently interact with middle management and singly contributor groups.
The experience we’re looking to add to our team:
• Bachelor’s Degree in engineering or related field.
• 7+ years of related experience.
• Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference to practical situations.
• Demonstrates working knowledge of functional concepts and a solid comprehension of Flex policies and procedures.
• Has awareness of the functional impact upon work processes and other functions.
• Use of the following tools may be required: Office Skills: telephones, data entry, and office software to include, word processing, spreadsheets, and presentation package and database systems.
• Demonstrates advanced functional skills which may be used to conduct on-the-job training and/or guide other employees.
• Demonstrates advanced functional, technical and people and/or process management skills as well as customer (external and internal) relationship skills.
• Demonstrates advanced skills in functional/technical area.
