NPI Associate Sourcing Manager (Hybrid)

What you will do

Join our team as an NPI Associate Sourcing Manager (Hybrid) and play a critical role in bringing innovative products to market. You’ll lead sourcing strategies for complex new product initiatives, drive cost efficiencies, and ensure smooth supplier collaborations—all while working closely with global cross-functional teams to enable successful product launches.  This is a hybrid role. We are seeking a candidate in Cary, Il or the surrounding area. The employee is expected to be physically present at the Stryker location 3 days per week but has the flexibility to work from home 2 days per week.

Own the development and implementation of NPI sourcing strategies for assigned projects of increased complexity, utilizing agreed tools and processesPerform sourcing analysis and selection process utilizing the agreed tools, including financial and non-financial inputs as required for clear sourcing decisions.Demonstrate insight and understanding of component cost drivers to develop negotiation strategiesOwn/Lead the negotiation of contracts (i.e. Supply Agreement, Development Agreements) per guidelinesDevelop strong relationships with suppliers and stakeholders in scope for the project, and serve as a primary escalation pointAppropriate advocate on behalf of supplier within the organization by providing a balanced viewpoint and holding suppliers accountable as appropriate and lead cross-functional teams to resolve issuesLead/Own procurement activities for new product launches [supplier selection, requests for quotes, negotiations, awards, cost management, launch readiness and handover to sustaining procurementAssure costs are tracked throughout the project, standards are accurately implemented and savings are captured for handover. Alignment with Finance, Supply Planning, purchasing to ensure parts are set up with all appropriate attributesEffectively and timely communicate expectations to suppliers and escalate risks to project teams or management as neededDriving change to mitigate risks, understanding of key challenges, and voicing concerns to project leadership, divisional sourcing, global categoryIdentify savings opportunities during launch planning and future savings opportunities for sustaining sourcingIdentify gaps/opportunities to support procurement strategy and collaborate with global stakeholders to resolveDevelop business case proposals to support future transfers, dual sourcing, design changes, etc.

What you need:

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Supply Management, Business, Finance, Engineering or related field.6 years of experience in supply chain, operations, or engineeringKnowledge and application of supplier contract strategy, negotiations, contractual terms, and contract administration.Understanding of procurement strategyDemonstrated ability to lead effective relationships, internally and externallyAbility to lead difficult conversations and complex negotiations with suppliersDemonstrated ability to leverage data and analytics to identify optimization opportunitiesExperience delivering supply base optimization in areas of delivery, quality, and costContracting experience of medium level complexityAdept in conflict resolutionAbility to manage multiple competing priorities in fast paced environmentsExperience influencing without direct authorityExercises good judgment and can weigh benefits and risk in order to make solid decisions despite ambiguity

Preferred Qualifications

Master’s degree in supply management, business, finance, engineering or related field Electromechanical sourcing experienceTravel Percentage - 20%

$98,200 - $163,700 salary plus bonus eligible + benefits. Individual pay is based on skills, experience, and other relevant factors.

Travel Percentage: 20%
