Location: Roxboro, NC Start Date: ASAP Employment Type: Full-Time About the Role: We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated School Counselor to join our team. The School Counselor will support the academic, social, and emotional development of students through guidance services, individual and group counseling, and collaboration with staff and families. This role plays a vital part in fostering a safe, supportive, and positive school environment where all students can thrive. Key Responsibilities: + Provide individual and group counseling to support students’ academic, emotional, and behavioral needs. + Develop and implement comprehensive school counseling programs aligned with state and district guidelines. + Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to promote student success and ensure appropriate interventions. + Conduct assessments and maintain accurate records of student progress and services provided. + Support crisis intervention and conflict resolution as needed. + Participate in professional development, school meetings, and parent conferences. + Promote a positive school climate by implementing prevention programs, SEL initiatives, and student support strategies. Minimum Qualifications: + Bachelor’s degree in School Counseling, Psychology, Education, or related field (Master’s in School Counseling required). + Valid NC School Counselor License. + Strong understanding of counseling best practices, crisis intervention, and student support services. + Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. + Ability to build rapport with students, families, and staff in a diverse educational setting.
