Pay Rate: $23/hour + Benefits
Start Date: Early February (through end of school year)
Contract Option: Opportunity to return next school year
Position Overview
We are currently seeking Classroom Aides to support students in an Intensive Behavioral Program within a school setting. These classroom-based roles support two behavior-focused classrooms serving students with high behavioral needs, including but not limited to hitting, biting, elopement, and property destruction.
This position is ideal for candidates with Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) experience who are passionate about working with students requiring structured behavioral support. While RBT certification is not required, prior experience working with children and managing behaviors is essential.
You will work alongside a strong, collaborative team, including experienced teachers, internal Instructional Assistants (IAs), Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs), and a district Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
Key Responsibilities
+ Provide direct behavioral and instructional support to students in an intensive classroom setting
+ Assist in implementing behavior intervention plans (BIPs) under the guidance of teachers and the BCBA
+ Support students with emotional regulation, transitions, and daily routines
+ Monitor and track student behavior and progress as directed
+ Maintain a safe, structured, and supportive learning environment
+ Collaborate effectively with teachers, behavior specialists, and school staff
Preferred Qualifications
+ Experience working in ABA, behavioral programs, or special education settings
+ Familiarity with challenging behaviors and de-escalation strategies
+ Experience supporting children in classroom or clinical environments
Minimum Requirements
+ High school diploma or equivalent (required)
+ Two (2) years of pediatric experience preferred
+ Experience working with children required; behavioral experience strongly preferred
+ Current CPR certification (if applicable)
+ TB questionnaire, PPD, or chest X-ray (if applicable)
+ Must meet all federal, state, and local compliance requirements
+ Must be at least 18 years of age
