**Job Title: North Austin - EVS Technician** **Job Description** The EVS Technician will be responsible for cleaning non-occupied patient rooms, which requires deep cleaning that typically takes 20-30 minutes per room. Responsibilities include making the bed, flipping the mattress, and thoroughly cleaning and disinfecting the entire room. You will also handle linens, placing them into a large, heavy bag to be disposed of via chute. The role also involves cleaning isolation rooms, which requires adherence to strict safety measures, including thorough mopping with a string mop. **Responsibilities** + Deep clean non-occupied patient rooms within 20-30 minutes. + Make beds, flip mattresses, and disinfect entire rooms. + Handle linens and dispose of them properly. + Clean isolation rooms following strict safety protocols. + Interact with patients, nurses, doctors, and the housekeeping team. + Deal with bloody and dirty trash and soiled linen. **Essential Skills** + Ability to lift up to 75lbs frequently and push 200lbs. + Strong attendance record. + Punctuality and reliability. + Excellent communication skills. + Customer service skills. + 6 months of previous hospital or hotel cleaning experience. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Direct experience in hospitals is a plus. + Preferred: Very strong individual. **Why Work Here?** Join a professional environment where your contributions are valued, and where you can develop your skills in a supportive hospital setting. You will often work independently, so being a self-starter is crucial. The work environment requires adherence to specific cultural norms, including covering tattoos, avoiding facial piercings, and not wearing heavy fragrances. The mid-shift runs from 12 PM to 8:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with rotating weekends. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Austin, TX. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.50/hr.
