Job Description• Audits / Evaluations: Conducting onsite and remote audit activities according to the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS), Textile Exchange – [Global Recycled Standard (GRS), Recycled Claim Standard (RCS), and Organic Content Standard (OCS)], and the Better Cotton Chain of Custody Standard. These audit activities will primarily be within the South India region but may also extend to other parts of India and other countries as needed. • Document Review: Pre- and post-audit document reviews for client files. • Client Services: Preparing audit plans, coordinating schedules, and processing certification activities. • Technical Expertise: Learn about and become an expert in related certified materials, including organic, responsible, and recycled materials, spanning across business areas of textiles, plastic, metal, leather, and paper. • Reporting: Timely submission of audit reports and non-conformance (NC) reports. Keeping the CB Portal always updated with the relevant details. • Technical Support to Team & Clients.
QualificationsA minimum requirement of a Diploma in a textile-related field. • Preference will be given to Graduate Engineers in Textile Technology. • Minimum of 5 years of work experience in the textile industry, 3 of which should be with a certification body. • Preference will be given to candidates with prior experience as an Auditor in Certification Bodies. • Experience working with Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS), Textile Exchange, and Better Cotton. • Detailed knowledge of the norm requirements for GOTS, GRS, RCS, OCS, and Better Cotton, having completed training courses, and prior participation in webinars conducted by the Scheme Owners. • Knowledge of challenges and issues in the textile and related sectors in India and neighbouring countries. • ISO 9001 Lead Auditor Training Course.
