Within the Epilepsy Department, you will be part of a family of caregivers committed to providing state-of-the-art diagnostic technologies and surgical treatment options. As a Non-Registered Monitor Technician, you will monitor electrophysiological data on patients. **A caregiver in this role works varying shifts from 7:00 p.m. - 7:00 a.m. with weekend and holiday requirements.** A caregiver who excels in this role will: + Gather data using closed circuit audio/visual equipment and electrophysiological recording instruments. + Utilize electrophysiological recording instruments using both surface recording electrodes and electrophysiological recording instruments. + Perform record keeping data using the computer and maintain daily logs of patients' status. + Use critical thinking skills and decisive judgment to work with minimal supervision. Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: + Associate's Degree in Electroneurodiagnostics or related patient care field + OR two years of patient care experience (may substitute for Associate's Degree) + Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) + One year experience as a Non-Registered EEG Technician OR first year completion of an Associate's Degree in Electroneurodiagnostics + First year of completion of an Associate's Degree in Electroneurodiagnostics Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: + American Board of Registration of Electroencephalographic and Evoked Potential Technologists (ABRET) credentialing for Registered EEG Technologist (R.
