Non Invasive Vascular Lab Technologist

Position OverviewEnsures that the evaluation of Vascular Lab procedures, equipment and
staff are administered in a fashion that is accurate, timely, responsive and reliable. Customers served include UHSH employees, Medical Staff, patients and regulatory agencies. Priority will be given to activities that directly affect customer service. Supports and assists co-workers with maintaining a clean work environment, removing and replacing soiled linen bags and re-stocking linen cabinets.

UHS Binghamton General Hospital, Binghamton, NY
UHS Salanger Outpatient Center, Vestal, NY
Work Shift and Schedule:
This is a per diem position, which means you will work on an as needed, agreed upon basis. Working hours will be assigned by your manager.
Compensation Range:
$33.63 - $50.45 per hour, depending on experience
This position is not eligible for benefits.

Job Responsibilities
+ Demonstrates the ability to perform vascular procedures as requested by referring physicians and to provide the necessary documentation each procedure requires.
+ Participates in all Radiology Management System functions as they relate to patient procedures.
+ Provides patient education as required.
+ Participates in the activities associated with maintaining the laboratory accreditation status.
+ Maintains effective communication with referring physicians, radiologists and other department customers to assure the proper scheduling of procedures.
Position Qualifications
Minimum Required:
+ Associate degree in Applied Science in vascular technology or similar modality
+ Knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy, hemodynamics as well as color flow doppler principles.
+ Registered or Registry eligible by the ARDMS or CCI as a registered vascular technologist (RVT).
+ Staff who are Registry eligible are required to successfully pass the Registry exam achieving “Active Registry Status” within one year from the date of hire.
Preferred:
+ Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT).
