McLeod Health is seeking an experienced and hardworking Advanced Practice Provider (NP or PA-C) to join our Hospitalist team at the Carolina Forest campus. This position provides comprehensive inpatient care during overnight hours and requires a clinician who can work independently while collaborating with physicians and the care team to deliver exceptional patient-centered care.
Qualifications
NP or PA degree required BLS and ACLS certifications required *** Minimum 3 years of inpatient experience required (new grads not accepted) *** Ability to work independently, organized, and experienced in hospital medicineMake-up of Practice
Nights: 2 physicians on-site; APP works independently
General support staff includes nursing and clerical support
Schedule
Full-time, 84 hours bi-weekly

Responsibilities
100% inpatient responsibility Perform physical exams and assess patient needs Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests Develop and implement patient care plans in collaboration with supervising physicians Document findings and maintain accurate medical records Coordinate discharge planning with case management Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team membersOrientation
Approximately 6 weeks of shadowing and training paired with another APP.
