The Role
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Night Shift Cleaner Leading Hand to join our cleaning team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading, supervising, and supporting the night shift cleaning team to ensure all cleaning tasks are completed efficiently and to a high standard. This role is a critical part of our operations, and we are looking for someone who can work independently and as part of a team to ensure the highest levels of cleanliness and sanitation are maintained.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead, supervise, and support the night shift cleaning team to ensure all cleaning tasks are completed efficiently and to a high standard
Clean floors, walls, drains, and other surfaces using appropriate cleaning agents and tools
Operate cleaning machinery safely and effectively
Coordinate and assign cleaning duties based on production schedules and sanitation requirements
Ensure the safe and proper use of cleaning equipment, tools, and chemicals
Maintain accurate data and records for audit purposes
Train and mentor new team members on cleaning procedures, safety protocols, and company policies
Conduct inspections of cleaned areas and equipment to verify compliance with sanitation and food safety standards
Create and update SOP and Task Instructions as per requirements
Follow safety guidelines and procedures
Adhere to company policies and confidentiality agreements.
We're looking for someone with:
Team management experience and industrial cleaning experience essential!
Excellent communication and organisational skills
High attention to detail and commitment to hygiene and compliance
Basic understanding of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
Ability to work overnight hours, including weekends or holidays if required
Physical fitness and ability to lift, bend, climb, and stand for extended periods
FMCG experience (preferred)
Industrial machine cleaning experience (preferred)
The successful candidate must be available during our shut down period (middle of December until the first week of January – with main holidays off)
