The Night Duty Manager supports the Night Manager in overseeing all overnight hotel operations, ensuring a safe, seamless, and exceptional guest experience throughout the night shift. This role is responsible for leading the night team, managing guest service delivery, maintaining security, and ensuring operational excellence in line with Hilton brand standards.

Hilton Adelaide is centrally located, overlooking Victoria Square. The hotel has 377 rooms ranging from guest rooms to the executive floor and suites. Hilton Adelaide offers unrivalled conference and events facilities comprising of 19 meeting rooms. It is the only 5-star hotel in Adelaide able to host 500 delegates to meet, eat and sleep, all under one roof.

 What You'll be doing

\n\nLead the night shift team (front desk, porters, cleaners, kitchen, security)\nEnsure guest arrivals, departures, and requests are handled efficiently and warmly\nMonitor hotel security, fire and safety systems; liaise with emergency services as needed\nComplete night audit and financial reporting accurately and on time\nCommunicate and coordinate with day shift and other departments (Housekeeping, Engineering, F&B)\nRespond promptly to guest feedback, complaints, and incidents; empower team to resolve issues\nEnsure compliance with health, safety, and company policies\nMaintain accurate guest records and preferences to ensure personalised and seamless service during each stay.\nLead by example, demonstrating Hilton values and promoting teamwork and continuous improvement\n\n

What We're Looking For

\n\nPositive attitude with strong communication and leadership skills\nPrevious experience managing overnight or night shift teams in hospitality or similar industry\nExcellent grooming and professional presentation\nStrong problem-solving skills and attention to detail\nPassion for delivering exceptional guest service, especially during overnight operations\nAbility to remain calm and decisive under pressure in a fast-paced environment\nFlexibility to work night shifts, including weekends and public holidays as required\nExperience with hotel security, safety systems, and emergency procedures is highly regarded\nProven ability to coordinate with multiple departments to ensure seamless operations\nA current, valid driver’s license and the ability to drive a variety of vehicles (manual driving experience is highly regarded)\n
