About the Role:

The Night Auditor is responsible for guest service and overnight audit operations, including guest registration, reservations, security, and financial balancing. This role ensures guest satisfaction while reconciling hotel income and expenses within each 24-hour period in compliance with hotel policies.

As Hyatt Place Toronto Airport prepares to open in October 2025, the Night Auditor will support the successful launch of operations by assisting with pre-opening tasks and ensuring a smooth transition into daily hotel operations.
Job Responsibilities:

Balance and audit room revenue, food & beverage revenue, and ancillary charges; prepare accurate daily revenue reports. Review and audit cashier reports, room and tax charges, variance reports, and guest/house accounts for accuracy. Ensure compliance with hotel accounting procedures, financial transactions, and cash security. Perform guest service duties such as check-in/check-out, reservations, guest assistance, and switchboard support. Handle guest concerns, emergencies, and operational needs overnight in a professional manner. Prepare and transmit required overnight reports to management. Liaise with other hotel departments to resolve discrepancies and support smooth communication. Troubleshoot hotel systems (Opera or other PMS) during overnight hours and escalate issues when necessary. Promote teamwork and service excellence through communication and collaboration. Carry out additional duties as assigned.

Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent required; college or hospitality-related education an asset. Previous customer service or front office experience preferred. Strong English communication skills; additional languages an asset. Proficiency with hotel property management systems (Opera preferred) and basic computer skills. Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail. Ability to work independently overnight. Must be available to work nights, weekends, and holidays. Physical requirements include lifting up to 50 lbs, standing/walking for extended periods, and performing duties requiring bending or kneeling.
