SUMMARY

To assist the Senior Perishable Buyer with research, tracking, contracts, planning, and follow up.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

Responsible for monitoring competitive activity in Perishable categoriesResponsible for monitoring sales trends and changes within Perishable categories.Follow up with vendors and warehouse on contractsFollow up with warehouse on orders and stores order issuesMake vendor appointments and maintain calendarResearch competitive information, ads, retails, promotions.Set up and maintain spreadsheetsResponsible for vendor service issuesWork with regional sales teams for promotional activitySetup and maintain PLU Scale SystemAssist Perishable Directors with Ad planningAssist stores with any issues.Other duties as assigned

 EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or general education degree (GED);  Related experience and/or training;  Or equivalent combination of education and experience

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public

 MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to work with Supermarket math concepts such as addition, subtraction, division, multiplication, distribution, penetration, and gross profit.
