Advanced Practice Provider: Headache Medicine
Position Highlights:
UW Health Northern Illinois is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to join our expanding Headache Medicine team. As a leading provider of neurological care, we are committed to advancing headache and migraine treatments through patient-centered care and innovative therapies. Your clinical support includes:
Evaluation and management of a wide range of headache disorders, including migraine, cluster headaches, concussion care and tension-type headachesPotential administration of advanced treatment modalities such as Botox injections for chronic migraine and nerve blocksCollaboration with pain management, physical therapy, and behavioral health specialists to provide comprehensive care plansUtilization of advanced imaging and diagnostic tools to support clinical decision-makingPartnering with physicians and referring providers to ensure timely and effective patient careParticipation in patient education and support efforts to improve self-management of chronic headache conditionsTeaching health care students at all levels of education
Qualifications:
Master’s degree or doctorate degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant programCurrent licensure as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) in Illinois, or ability to obtain upon hireClinical experience in neurology, pain management, or internal medicine preferredStrong diagnostic and procedural skills
