New Product Development Specialist

 

The NPD Team plans and manages New Product Development (NPD) projects in line with company policies, annual plans, and market requirements, while adhering to global and local regulations. The role involves working closely with market partners to manage packaging, product changes, limited edition packs, and new product introductions. The incumbent will liaise with R&D, Global Supply Chain, and Marketing & Sales to ensure all initiatives are executed on time, within budget, and with excellence, prioritizing key brands and projects.

 

As a New Product Development Specialist for JTI GBS, you will be responsible for: 

 

Executing NPD projects related to product and packaging changes within the project management system, coordinating with stakeholders, and tracking project progress. They will prepare preliminary project information, organize kick-off meetings, and manage lead times for various process steps.  Managing the end-to-end NPD process, ensuring timely execution of all projects and tracking timelines against the plan. They will keep key stakeholders informed of any delays or issues, organize and coordinate NPD meetings, and track updates to NPD-related data. Additionally, they will manage the service request system workflow for all related service requests.  Handling project management system related questions and issues within assigned markets. They will deliver system and process updates to users and communicate with the project management system governance team on system and process-related matters.   Supporting the artworks development process by coordinating production designs according to company design guide and market requirements. They will track layout development and revisions based on market requests, support market simulations and visuals preparation, and conduct follow-throughs with stakeholders during printing testing and release.  Taking part in the annual plans collection process by supporting and providing related activities to the assigned markets.  Managing various tasks and projects as they arise and upon manager’s request. 

 

Requirements:

 

Bachelor’s or University Degree in Management, Sciences, Engineering, or a related field. A background in business and marketing is essential. At least 3 years of proven experience in FMCG, specifically in New Product Development (NPD), Marketing, or Project Management roles, with a strong track record in cross-functional projects.  An in-depth understanding of the NPD process and project management system is crucial. Strong experience and knowledge in packaging and product development are required.  Expertise in SAP, project management and related systems is a must.  Fluent in English, both written and verbal  Advanced proficiency in MS Office Excellent interpersonal and project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects and provide expert NPD advice. Strong communication skills are essential.
