Job Summary:
This family is seeking a dedicated and friendly Housekeeper/Cook to help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming home. They value a tidy environment and are looking for someone who can take initiative and support the smooth running of the household. Responsibilities include general housekeeping, daily tidying, and freshening up the home each morning. The family has a cleaner who comes twice a week, so this role focuses on maintaining order and consistency day-to-day. The candidate should be young at heart, helpful, and flexible, and able to work well alongside other staff—particularly the live-in nanny.
Cooking is a key part of the role, and the family is looking for someone who genuinely enjoys preparing fresh, healthy, and diverse meals. Duties include planning a different meal each day, cooking lunch and dinner for those at home, and preparing nutritious snacks. Organisation is important, particularly when planning meals for the week ahead. The position is Monday to Friday, with occasional Saturdays, for approximately 6 hours per day with flexible start times. General housekeeping tasks (cleaning, tidying, laundry, ironing, etc.) Wardrobe management and organization Changing and making beds Organising cupboards, managing the wardrobes High Laundry care standards and ironing Cooking healthy nutritious meals everyday Running local errands on occasion Accepting deliveries
Candidate Requirements:
Proficient in English Proactive, approachable, and engaging Must be confident in all; aspects of housekeeping, including laundry and ironing Know your way around the kitchen, can cook a variety of dishes, or follow recipes Organised, proactive with a good eye for detail who needs no supervision Must enjoy cooking different meals
