Otis Elevator Company is searching for a highly motivated New Equipment Superintendent to drive productivity and the performance of new equipment projects for the branch and customers. The NE Superintendent will be responsible for the new equipment business, including field operations, customer satisfaction and overall general business management.
On a typical day you will:
Direct, supervise, and lead the performance of field operations for the New Equipment installation side of Otis’ businessSupervise construction mechanics and installation teamsAchieve all financial performance targets including profit and working capitalConduct field education training ensuring that we create and maintain a safe working environmentRegularly perform field safety audits, jobsite inspections (pre-installation, in progress and pre-inspection), and develop site safety/logistics plansCoordinate all material deliveries, tool ordering/returns and issuing purchase orders.Develop and maintain professional and productive relationships with co-workers, field employees, clients, state & local authorities, and others in contact with the jobForecast and schedule labor resources ensuring successful project completion, maintaining customer quality assurance, and improving efficiency. Maintain a field crew planner mapping out installation durations and assignments for scheduled job starts.Accurately analyze situations and assist in developing contingencies for estimatesAdministration and interpretation of contract writing and will perform customary construction process duties that include managing billing, consultant and contractors’ payments, processing RFIs and optimizing change order opportunities, as well as maximizing project cash coverageWhat you will need to be successful:
High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree preferred5+ years of elevator industry experience or experience leading field level associates/technicians in a similar industry preferredAbility to work in a highly team-oriented and dynamic environmentCandidate must demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills as well as presentation skills to effectively develop expectations and relationships with internal and external customersNeeds to be self-motivated, self-starter and able to manage many simultaneous projects and responsibilitiesSuccessful candidate should be very comfortable in a technical environment utilizing Microsoft-based computer software and email; Otis field apps and internal systems.Strong leadership skills, goal-oriented, and good decision-making skills with strong time management and organizational skillsWhat’s In it For Me / Benefits

The salary range for this role is $114,000 - 157,000. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may change in the future. Pay within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.
