Job Summary: The Neuropsychologist-SBH is responsible for conducting neuropsychology assessments. Supervises clinical psychology doctoral students in assessment process. Teaches, mentors, researches, and/or engages in the service activities. Performs other duties as needed.
Education and Experience: Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) and completion of an APA accredited predoctoral internship and two-year postdoctoral fellowship in neuropsychology required.
Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge of current neuropsychological assessments of ADHD, SLD, MCI and/or other conditions. Able to diagnose ASD assessments effectively and communicate changes and instructions in a professional, effective and positive manner. Able to read; write legibly; speak in English with professional quality; use computer, printer, and software programs necessary to the position (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint). Able to communicate effectively on the telephone; think critically; manage multiple assignments effectively; organize and prioritize workload; able to relate and communicate positively, effectively, and professionally with others; work calmly and respond courteously when under pressure. Able to distinguish colors as necessary; hear sufficiently for general conversation in person and on the telephone, and identify and distinguish various sounds associated with the workplace; see adequately to read computer screens, and written documents necessary to the position.
