Nurses play an integral role in the care of our patients at the Neurological Institute. As RN in this department, you will use your nursing skills to enhance care and facilitate a welcome, healing environment for patients. A caregiver in this position works day/night rotation, 7:00AM—7:30PM or 7:00PM—7:30AM.

A caregiver who excels in this role will:

· Provide direct nursing care.

· Implement, monitor, evaluate, update and revise patient care plans.

· Monitor, record, document and communicate patients’ conditions.

· Administer prescribed medications and treatments.

· Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.

· Assess and coordinate patients’ discharge needs.

· Educate patients and their families.

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

· Graduate from an accredited school of Professional Nursing

· Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)

· Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)

· One year of current acute care RN experience OR military RN experience

Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

· Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing (BSN)
