Neurodiagnostic Technologist 1 Job Responsibilities:

Writes a comprehensive patient history by gathering appropriate information from patients, patients' records and/or family members to include, but not be limited to, seizure types, date of last seizure and other neurological symptomatology and medications as documented in patients' charts. Conducts procedures at Inova Health System affiliated hospitals as requested. Assumes responsibility for the safety and well-being of patients at all times. Performs routine, ambulatory, neonatal exams, long-term video electroencephalography (EEG), evoked potentials, SPECT scans, WADA's and Tilt table with video EEGs. Conducts Brainstem Auditory Evoked Potential studies by utilizing knowledge of audiology instrumentation and pattern recognition as well as Visual Evoked Potential studies.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education: Basic Life Support; Eligible for and successful completion of the ABRET Neurodiagnostic Credentialing and Accreditation EEG board examination with the achievement as a Registered Electroencephalographic Technologist (R.EEG T), must be obtained within two years of hire Licensure: None required Certification: None required Experience: High School diploma or equivalent
