Responsibilities
Performs neurophysiological monitoring and electrodiagnostic procedures on patients in Mayo Clinic and Mayo Hospital on an outpatient and inpatient basis.
As our Mayo Clinic Neurology department continues to grow in innovation, education, and technology, we are looking for amazing Neurodiagnostic Technologists to join our team. This position can be filled by a Tech I, II or III.
Our technologists are responsible for complete and accurate patient preparation, data acquisition, providing a safe testing environment, and must demonstrate minimum competency, skill, and knowledge in neurodiagnostic procedural testing in the area of hire.

Tech I
EDUCATION: High School diploma or equivalent, or Associates degree or higher, or an accredited school of END Technology. Must have working knowledge of anatomy and physiology.
EXPERIENCE: One or more years in Electro Neuro Diagnostic procedure testing (this includes clinical experience while attending formal END education).
Good human relation and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages and explain tests and provide a relaxing environment. Must be able to stand over 50% of the time, bending and kneeling routinely. Must be able to work with the arms above shoulder level. Must be able to lift more than 25 pounds. Must exercise proper caution to avoid potential exposure to: Chemical vapors – Heavy Metals – Ionizing Radiation – Laser – Microwaves – Infection Hazard – Skin contact with Chemicals, etc. Must work with Immunosuppressed patients.
Basic Life Support (BLS)
Tech II
EDUCATION: High School diploma or equivalent, or Associates degree or higher, or an accredited school of END Technology. Must have working knowledge of anatomy and physiology.

Tech III
EDUCATION: Associates degree from an accredited school of EEG/NCS/EP Technology and a National Registry certification in two or EEG, NCS, EP Autonomic, Intraoperative Monitoring (CNIM) or Long Term Monitoring (CLTM). BCLS certification required. Must have working knowledge of anatomy and physiology.
EXPERIENCE: Two or more year(s) performing one or more of electrodiagnostic procedures in EEG/NCS/EP/IOM/LTM/Autonomic.
COMPETENCY: JOB KNOWLEDGE: Good human relation and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages, explain tests and provide a relaxing environment required.
ADDITIONAL CONSIDERATIONS: Must be able to participate on a rotating call schedule. Must be able to stand over 50% of the time, bending and kneeling routinely. Must be able to work with the arms above shoulder level. Must be able to lift more than twenty five pounds. Must exercise proper caution to avoid potential exposure to:
