Network Systems Administrator
GDIT is seeking qualified candidates for Digital Range Training System (DRTS) 3.3 Network Systems Administrator in support of the Warfighter Training Readiness Solution (W-TRS) Contract, formally known as ATMP.
DRTS program is the enabler of range modernization for tactical vehicle training. DRTS provides the infrastructure and instrumentation for Abrams, Bradley, Stryker, and Aviation platform live-fire gunnery training and qualifications and the ability to conduct Combined Arms Live Fire Exercises (CALFEX).
GDITs Network Systems Administrator will report to the Range Manager and is responsible for all employees, tools, inventories, maintenance, and the overall product provided to the government.

HOW A NETWORK SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR MAKE AN IMPACT:
Reports directly to the Range Manager and is responsible for ensuring all servers, workstations, and Information Technology (IT) related assets are in good working condition.
The Network Systems Administrator is the subject matter expert (SME) for all DRTS IT operational support
Manage network servers
Set up accounts and workstations
Monitor performance of systems
Maintain systems according to requirements
Troubleshoot system issues and outages
Ensure security through access controls, backups and firewalls
Upgrade systems with new releases and models
Develop expertise to train staff on new technologies
Maintain technical documentation, manuals, and IT policies
Conduct inspections and inventories of all assigned IT equipment before and after each live fire-training event for accountability and serviceability
Reports and coordinates daily with the Range Manager on range maintenance, scheduled live fire training events, and very important person/personnel (VIP) visits.
Report acquisition of supplies, equipment, and parts weekly to Range Manager
Conduct an inspection and inventory of all assigned equipment before and after each live fire-training event for accountability and serviceability.
Ensure training and inventories are properly conducted
Ensure the necessary records and reports are complete and properly maintained
Ensures required to maintain and repair and Conduct Preventive Maintenance Checks and Services (PMCS) on IT equipment.
Supports the required GDIT/W-TRS cross training plan to support other W-TRS TADSS on installation.
Interface with customers and site Government personnel, report TADDS status, any maintenance issues as well as assist with training schedules.
Attends daily range safety briefings are conducted each morning
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
Education: BA/BS or 4 years equivalent experience
Required Experience: 4+ years of related experience Managing US Army DRTS IT EQUIPMENT/ranges, Military and Leadership Experience preferred
Required Technical Skills:
Technical expertise in range systems, equipment. and range maintenance.
Knowledge of network protocols, operating systems, and security practices.
Experienced in US army doctrine live-fire gunnery training and qualifications, combined arms live fire exercises, and After-Action Review (AAR) capabilities.
Ability to learn the W-TRS Management Information System (MIS) for controls/recording all work orders and Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) property control.
Certifications: IAW in DoD Pub 8570.01-M Information Assurance Workforce Improvement Program for Information Assurance Technical Level II; Required within 6 months of hire: one of the following: CompTIA Security+, CompTIA CySA+, Cisco CCNA

Required Skills and Abilities:
Superb communication skills; strong ability to advise and educate leadership through non-technical terms on systems;
Ability to document and report on technical issues and solutions; Ability to resolve complex technical issues
Travel: Must be able to travel up to 25% of time.
Additional Details:
Must be able to wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and be able to lift a maximum of 50 lbs
Must be able to obtain/maintain a valid state driver’s license and post driving privileges
