Join us and be part of a global team that keeps IBM moving forward, while building your own future in a dynamic and evolving environment. **Your role and responsibilities** * Design and implement network segmentation in highly complex with multi-tier applications * Diagnose and troubleshoot network issues * Lead efforts to design, & implement core network & security technologies in data-center environments * Apply industry best practice standards on network infrastructure builds in a world wide environment * Excellent collaboration with team members and other IT organizations to successfully support network operations * Effectively communicate with customers and partners using collaboration tools regarding technical issues * Act as an escalation point for network 2.0 engineers to resolve complicated network issues * Involve in architecture level discussion as and when required. * Recommend and perform technological platform upgrades * Provide network design inputs as and when required * As part of global network project team - ensure timely delivery of agreed project modules * Design and drive technical operation improvements * Coordinate with OEMs ( Juniper / Cisco, Palo Alto etc) and drive resolution for complicated network issues * Maintain latest security and compliance posture for all devices supported. * Role demands occational night shifts **Required technical and professional expertise** * 8-10 years in Network trouble shooting / designing experience * Proven knowledge understanding of various network tools ( Netim, Thousand eyes, Solar winds etc) * CISCO / Juniper professional level certification or equivalent knowledge * Proven Network Engineering and Operations skills with experience in leading Network and Security platforms, Network Routing, Switching, and Security Firewall and Proxy technologies * Do deep dive, trouble shoot and resolve network issues reported for various platforms ( Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto etc) * Basic understanding of scripting / programming using python etc. **Preferred technical and professional experience** CCIE or equivalent technical knowledge Expert level knowledge of scripting / Programming IBM is committed to creating a diverse environment and is proud to be an equal-opportunity employer.
