Astrion has an exciting opportunity for a Network Services Engineer supporting the C3I & Networks Division (AFLCMC/HNI), which is part of EPASS Cyber and Networks Directorate (EPASS HN II) contract, and located at Hanscom AFB, MA.

 

WORK LOCATION: Hanscom, AFB, MA

JOB STATUS: Full-Time; salaried

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS: 

Education: Bachelors or Master’s Degree in a related field Years of Experience: Ten years of experience in the respective technical / professional discipline being performed, five of which must be in the DoD. Two additional years of technical network engineering experience with proper certifications may substitute for Master’s degree. Current Required Security Clearance: DoD Secret clearance 

 

Ability to work independently and apply the proper procedures and processes related to their area of expertise  Experience configuring, operating, and testing DoD C4ISR components, systems, and tactical architectures Desired: knowledge of IP-Based networks and High Assurance Internet Protocol Encryptor (HAIPE) devices (KG-175/250) 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  

Analyze and recommend network requirements Recommend and   maintain network architecture and infrastructure Analyze network workload Monitor network capacity and performance Diagnose and resolve network problems Recommend network backup and recovery procedures Install, test, maintain, and upgrade network operating systems software Ensure the rigorous application of information security/cybersecurity policies, principles, and practices in the delivery of network services
