The Opportunity:

We are seeking an experienced Network Recapitalization Lead to oversee and manage the strategic renewal, upgrade, and modernization of our organization's WAN, CAN, and LAN network infrastructure. This role will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing network modernization initiatives to enhance performance, security, and scalability.

Responsibilities:

Manage and mentor network recapitalization team

Collaborate on requirements development with engineering team

Develop and execute a comprehensive network recapitalization strategy aligned with organizational goals and technology roadmaps.

Assess current network infrastructure and identify areas for improvement and modernization.

Work with project managers to plan and manage large-scale network upgrade projects, including budgeting, resource allocation, and timeline management.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure network changes meet business requirements and compliance standards.

Evaluate and recommend new network technologies and solutions to improve efficiency and capabilities.

Oversee the implementation of network upgrades, ensuring minimal disruption to existing operations.

Manage relationships with vendors and service providers involved in network recapitalization efforts.

Develop and maintain documentation for network architecture, configurations, and upgrade processes.

Provide regular status updates and reports to senior management on recapitalization progress and outcomes.

Ensure adherence to industry best practices and security standards throughout the recapitalization process

Qualifications:

Required:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or related field or equivalent work experience

7+ years of related work experience 

TS/SCI w/ poly is required 

Expertise integrating networking equipment from multiple vendors (Cisco, Juniper, Extreme Networks)

Strong knowledge of network protocols, architectures, and security principles

Proven experience in managing large-scale network upgrade projects

Familiarity with current and emerging network technologies

Excellent project management and leadership skills

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

Effective communication skills, both written and verbal

Desired:  

Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNP, CCIE) are preferred

Pay Range: There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:

$103,800 - $218,100
