Job SummaryThe Stay in the Game! Attendance Network (SITG!) is seeking a leader to join our team as Network Manager. The Network Manager will work with the SITG! Partners – Cleveland Browns Foundation, Ohio Department of Education and Workforce, and Harvard’s Proving Ground, to shape and set strategy, cultivate strong partnerships, lead Network initiatives and manage the Network to success and sustainability. The incumbent will apply their understanding of current and future issues in the field, with a focus on the needs of districts and schools in boosting attendance and reducing chronic absenteeism. Moreso, the Manager will lead services and projects that produce immediate and long-term results, while contributing thought leadership, to extend the Network’s reputation throughout the state and nationally. The Network Manager should have diverse personal and professional networks with decision makers and influencers in the field, as well as deep skills in understanding and addressing issues of equity.
ResponsibilitiesManage SITG! Team and Partner Efforts
Administer project plans, deliverables, schedules, and budgets with implementation managers, ensuring successful execution of assigned projects and engagements. Schedules and leads meetings that facilitate the attainment of all project goals to include day-to-day staff, leadership from partner organizations, and biannual steering committee meetings.Develop annual budgets, priorities, and fundraising goals while pursuing fundraising efforts with individuals and philanthropies.Work closely with partners to cultivate additional funders/in-kind contributors while honoring existing contracts and relationships owned by sports teams affiliated with SITG!
Manage External Partnerships and Fundraising
Develop and maintain relationships and functional partnerships; engage in proactive communication with external organizations and potential funders to support attendance efforts.Develop concept papers, written grant proposals, and other collateral material necessary for funding and scaling Network operations while overseeing grant and in-kind contribution reporting as needed. Skills and experience in fundraising, preferred.
Manage Daily Network Operations and Staff
Work with Battelle leadership to establish budgets and monitor Network finances while identifying action items for Leadership partners and staff as needed including the technology tools required to manage the day-to-day workflow for Leadership Partner Teams.Directly manage a team of multiple employees, providing leadership, coaching, and feedback on individual performance.Provide coaching to new regional leadership teams as the network grows.
Guide Communications and the Public Voice of the Network
Serve as a spokesperson for the Network; identify partner, participant, student, and family voices to contribute to ongoing communications and messaging.Contribute and deliver content for the Network’s public facing engagements (i.e. policy papers, newsletters, op-eds, press releases, and public speaking engagements) as needed.Speak at regional or national events on chronic absenteeism.

Key Qualifications Requires a bachelor’s degree in Education, Leadership, Public Policy, Business with at least 5 years of experience leading projects and providing strategic consulting related to K-12 education; or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience in a related field.Experience designing and refining district-level strategy and planning, especially developing implementation plans and/or integrating new strategies into existing operations.Experience building relationships and with change initiatives. Experience as a presenter and facilitator. Experience organizing and mobilizing resources and people to achieve targeted goals. Experience leading teams of individuals in a collaborative manner while focusing on innovative solutions and meeting client needs. Interpersonal, organizational, motivational, and problem-solving skillsFrequent travel to support clients and contracts (up to 30%).Preferred Qualifications Master’s degree in public policy, public administration, business, Juris Doctor, or related field; leadership experience in school district, state agency, or organization serving Ohio, or Experience providing technical assistance to change practice within these systems.CompensationThe compensation range for the role is Salary $99,200.00 - $141,400.00.
