Network Initiatives team is seeking a qualified candidate to join as a key partner in our efforts to develop strategies to optimize credit card interchange revenue and enhance transaction data analytics. This role aims to capture key insights that facilitate informed decisions and accelerate the use of data and analytics to advance the network initiatives roadmap.
As a Vice President, Analytics in the Network Initiatives team, you will promote the development and execution of our analytics roadmap and governance, identify revenue and expense opportunities, and develop advanced analytics on merchant data. By collaborating across business areas, operations, and technology teams, you will define and deliver scalable analytical solutions. Your role is vital in shaping the strategic analytical agenda, promoting innovation, and optimizing our strategies through data, analytics, and machine learning. You should provide a comprehensive view of data to all levels of stakeholders across multiple functions, be forward-thinking, analytical, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, and implement solutions that propel Chase forward.
Job Responsibilities:
Leverage our data to scale our ability to optimize transaction based economics and identify revenue opportunity through deep analysisUnderstand and master a broad range of analytics capabilities (Test design, Modeling, NLP analysis, etc.) and how to best apply them to business problems Work in conjunction with finance, legal and other functional partners to craft financial business case, deal constructs and other key terms associated with partnershipDrive excellent practices and technical standards to support the development KPIs and goals for the card business, developing information suites (Dashboards, reports, visualizations) fit for C-level consumptionPresent findings and recommendations for action to senior leaders of the company, and support the individual contributors on your team to do the same for their workPartner closely with internal/external team to drive understanding of the data and its use in their business area and across line of businessRequired qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
Bachelors in Science in a quantitative discipline - Statistics, Math, Finance, Economics, Operations Research, etc.5+ years of analytical and industry experience in credit card, travel and entertainment retail, direct marketing, financial or other consumer orientated businesses, that capture and leverage a large transactional databaseMinimum 5 year of experience in advanced programming language (SQL, SAS, R, Python, Alteryx), relational database (Oracle/Teradata) and visualization tool (Tableau) skills to create/manage/analyze complex and large data sets Exceptional analytical, technical, and statistical skillAbility to synthesize/analyze diverse information, develop and recommend strategies, and make decisionsBackground in business analysis, excel based financial modelling, understanding of P&L and data miningDeep analytical skills including understanding of common financial statements and ability to build financial models in ExcelExcellent written and oral communication skills; possessing the ability to convey complex information - simply and clearly - to senior business leadersAbility to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environmentAbility to manage multiple projects and prioritize work requirements across a multi-disciplinary team settingPreferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Masters in Science in quantitative discipline or MBA preferred
